Infiniti Adding Smaller V6 Sedan To Performance Line!
Infiniti will also be adding a smaller sedan model with a V6 engine to its new Infiniti G performance line. Infiniti dealerships will be competing with Peoria Volkswagen and other dealerships that sell performance models like Audi, BMW, and Mercedes models. These automakers have had a performance line for several years, but for some reason Infiniti has been slow to follow suit. Although Infiniti has been known to produce great models like Kia models that can be found at Seattle Kia dealerships, the company has not decided to offer a performance line until now.
Still, there are great models to come that Infiniti may develop over the next few years as it releases new performance choices for its customers. Bradenton Used Cars sells a number of sports coupes and other performance vehicles at a discount. Infiniti is now offering the G25 sedan which will be the base model for the G line. It will go on sale in September at a base price of $31,825 which includes an $875 destination charge. The 2010 Infiniti G37 has a base price of $34,124 so the new performance sedan will be a bit less expensive than the base G37.
The G25 has a 2.5 liter V6 engine with the same architecture as the 3.7 liter V6 that is going to be used in the G37. The V6 used in the G26 is rated at 218 horsepower which is 110 less than the 3.7 liter version of the engine. There are also some other differences such as the inability to get the sport and navigation system on the G25. The G25 will have a seven speed automatic transmission standard. But the question is this: is the increase of only $2,000 worth it for features like 110 more horsepower and the ability for navigation system upgrades? The 110 horsepower upgrade of the G37 may very well be worth it for some buyers and the G25′s popularity will remain to be seen.
