With Infiniti launching a new hybrid M model later this year, there is a question on whether or not the automaker will launch any more hybrids.  The M hybrid will be the first hybrid model offering by the company, and Kansas City Used Car Dealers have several used hybrid models that can be bought a discount from retail price.The rumors are that there will be more hybrid vehicles launched by Infiniti as the company attempts to become more competitive in the marketplace and enter new vehicle markets.  Infiniti’s first hybrid will be available later this fall sold at dealerships throughout the country, and competing Lexus models can be found at Minneapolis Toyota Dealers.

The luxury hybrid competition got off to a slower start than the average hybrid game, but now it is going in full swing.  Sure, the anticipated release of the Chevy Volt from Florida Chevrolet Service is still making headlines, but Infiniti is getting serious about the release of their Infiniti M35 Hybrid.  It should be a force of competition for the current Volkswagen Specials on their incredibly fuel efficient diesel models, but only time will tell.  Boston Toyota has no concerns when it comes to hybrids and luxury; their Prius is still the best selling hybrid available on the market, plus there are so many options available that by the time you are done, your Prius should resemble a BMW!  With an anticipated price tag around $50,000, buyers will be impressed with the power they get from Infiniti’s hybrid; it should be available for purchase by the Spring of 2011.

The luxury midsize car is able to run solely on electric power at speeds below 62 mph.  And of course the interior cabin experience is incredibly quiet and you can’t hear the noise of the engine at all!  Drivers can expect to get about 22 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway, which is unusual to have hybrid figures with a higher number for highway performance.  But, this hybrid has lots of power, 40 additional pound feet of torque than even the V8 M56!

This hybrid differs from traditional hybrids that have two electric motors, one of which is used to recharge the battery while you are applying the brakes.  Infiniti opted not to have the brake recharging motor because many consumers complain about how touchy hybrid brakes are.  Rather, there is an electric motor sandwiched between a 3.5 liter V6 engine and 7-speed automatic transmission using a two-clutch system.  All this means that the hybrid luxury sedan has 369 horsepower and 457 pound feet of torque!

The M56 has a 5.6 liter V8 engine with 420 horsepower and 417 lb-feet of torque.  A very new feature of the car is an adaptive shift control system that adjusts the automatic shifting according to the driver’s preferences.  The M56 also has a distance control feature that accelerates or decelerates the vehicle if it is too close to other vehicles.  The M56 starts at a price of $57,550 for the RWD version and $60,050 for the AWD version.  The Infiniti M56 is available at the moment with several leasing and financing options.

The Infiniti M gasoline-electric hybrid vehicle which will be launched later this year will be double the fuel efficiency of the gasoline engine version. Used Nissan models can be found at Cincinnati Used Cars dealers.

Ford and GM are entering the hybrid vehicle race at about the same time, with Ford having a bit more experience than GM at hybrid vehicle production.  Ford hybrid vehicle models can be purchased or test driven at a Ford Dealer Macon.  Nissan is behind its Japanese rivals Honda and Toyota in producing a hybrid vehicle model.  Toyota produced its first version of the Prius hybrid back in 2001 and will celebrate the Prius’s 10th anniversary in 2011.  Nissan admitted that they have limited experience, and also said that the one motor two clutch system will have much better fuel economy at a lower cost than Toyota’s two-motor system which is more complicated.
The chief engineer of the Nissan rear wheel drive system said, “Typically, carmakers say the fuel economy improvement on their cars using a ‘strong’ or ‘full’ hybrid system is roughly 30 percent, while for ‘mild’ hybrids (like Honda’s), it’s 15 percent…We’re aiming for an improvement of 60 to 90 percent.”  The major improvement in vehicle fuel economy for the M would be one of the greatest of its kind.  Nissan’s system will also use a lithium ion battery instead of nickle hydride.  Nickle hydride is slower at capturing and discharging energy than lithium ion batteries.  The lithium ion removes the need for a torque converter which is found on the Toureg SUV and other hybrids.

If you would prefer a larger vehicle, check out the M37, with a starting price of $46,250.  For the 2011 model, you can get 2.9% APR for 60 months until the end of September or you can lease the 2011 M37 for $579 a month for 36 months, plus $3,999 down.  The lease offers end August 2nd, same as the G class.   The 2011 M56 comes with the same purchase special rate, but it is going to cost extra to lease.  Down payment is $4,030 and then it is $749 per month for only 36 months.

The 2011 Infiniti M comes with standard safety features; antilock brakes with brake assist, front-side and full-length side airbags, front head restraints, and stability and traction control.  There is an option for advanced safety features at the time of purchase that includes an alert system that notifies the driver if they unintentionally drift out of their lane.  The safety system corrects the driver by applying minimal brake pressure to prevent further lane drifting.  This system also includes exterior sensors that can detect a collision and will tighten the seatbelts to protect the passengers.  This model also comes with adaptive cruise control, a system in which a laser beam is able to judge the distance between cars and will use the brake and gas to make cruise control safer by keeping a safe distance from the car ahead of you.

The new technology, Blind Spot Intervention, piggyback’s some of the other safety features before mentioned.  This technology uses minimal braking applied to select wheels so that your vehicle will be directed away from a potential collision in your blind spot.  It should be mentioned that the driver is still in control and can override any of these safety feature technologies, and that they can also be turned off should a driver not like the assistance.

This technology combined with the already in place safety features will allow Infiniti buyers peace of mind that their shiny new vehicle will stay just that; shiny and new!
